The aim of Scrappies is to reduce waste and the burden on the environment of landfill and the extraction of raw materials through re-use, recycling and educating others in the same.
- No employee or volunteer of Scrappies shall knowingly waste any donated or purchased item or material that could be re-used or recycled.
- At all times, all employees and volunteers shall take steps to conserve heat and electricity within the ‘store’.
- All electrical items should be turned off overnight or when not in immediate use. This includes water heaters, fans, lights, computer equipment (including monitors, printers, etc.).
- All practical steps should be taken, at all times to ensure that Scrappies has as little impact on the environment as possible.
