Due to the dedication and hard work of our staff, management and wonderful team of volunteers over the past 10 years, we have continued to grow our children’s charity. Our much loved, vibrant resource centre and popular workshop programme – not to forget the support of all who donate their materials to the store – has enabled us to extend our charitable aims and we are now in a position to offer small grants of up to £500 to people working with children and vulnerable adults.
Grants will be extended to Charities and Not-For-Profit Organisations to help continue or support their creative arts programmes during financially difficult times.
Details:
- Grants will usually be awarded once a year to successful applicants.
- For this first year, the deadline for applications is Friday 14th August, 2026. Successful applicants will be informed at the beginning of September. If your application is unsuccessful we will let you know as soon as we can.
- Applications must meet most of our key values of children’s education, support for vulnerable adults, inclusivity, community accessibility and providing a safe space. The project should be located within Shropshire or Telford and Wrekin.
- The award will preferably support an activity which leads to sustainable growth or learning. Examples might be:
- Purchase of equipment or supplies to augment a sustainable creative arts project preferably one that emphasises recycling, reuse and repurposing,
- Hire a workshop leader who could inspire further creative work by the participants.
- Hire a workshop venue.
- Advertise and/or support an arts event or fair, especially if the event supports children or vulnerable adults.
- Applicants are encouraged to find matched funding. This could include volunteer hours.
- The award will be made in full by bank transfer to the group bank account or that of the responsible individual.
- Successful applicants are required to submit a report at the end of the project.
